This policy explains what personal information Itchen Glass & Glazing collects when you use this website or get in touch with us, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

Who we are

What we collect

• Quote requests. When you use a “Get your free quote” form, we collect your name, your phone number, the product you’re interested in, and the page you sent the form from.
• Calls, emails and messages. If you phone, email or message us (including through WhatsApp), we keep the details you give us so we can respond and, if you go ahead, carry out the work.
• Survey and job details. If we survey your property or carry out work, we keep your address, contact details and the details of the job.

We don’t ask for, and don’t want, any sensitive personal information.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, arrange surveys, give you a quote, carry out and guarantee work, and keep the records we’re required to keep. Our lawful basis is that you’ve asked us to take these steps before entering into a contract with us, and, once you’re a customer, to perform that contract and meet our legal obligations.

We never sell your information or use it for marketing lists, and we only contact you about your enquiry or your job.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where we need to in order to run our business and do the work:

• Our website host, which stores this website and the quote requests sent through it on servers in the European Union.
• Our email provider (Google), which delivers quote requests to our inbox.
• Manufacturers and suppliers, where we need to pass on measurements or delivery details to order products for your job.
• Authorities, such as building control, where the law requires it.

Cookies and third-party services

This website doesn’t use tracking or advertising cookies, and doesn’t set any cookies for ordinary visitors.

Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and shares your IP address with Google when a page loads. The “Chat” button opens WhatsApp, which is run by Meta; anything you send there is also covered by WhatsApp’s own privacy policy. Links to directions open Google Maps.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond and follow up. For customers, we keep job records for as long as needed to honour guarantees and meet our legal and accounting obligations, then delete them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To make a request, email or call us using the details above. We won’t charge you, and we’ll respond within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
